Rhode Island 10/5

Our first show in five months and it was great to be back in West Warwick Rhode Island. The crowd was great with some real die hard Who fans in attendance. I met Bill and Ed from New Hampshire, Lucy and Jack from Boston and Marc from Connecticut. Unfortunately I don't recall much from this show so Dom and Bobby have filled me in. My recollection was altered do to pre show Jack and cokes. We hit the stage around 10:00 and played a 2 hour show. So here is what we put together

Can't Explain- Broke my B string first solo in.... ( that should have been a sign )

Anyway Anyhow - Great Jam at end of song- Bobby was brilliant

Tommy Set- no recollection what so ever

Baba- crowd favorite.. Tambourine in hand this time!!!!

MY Wife- Dom turned in a great version of My Wife, we slowed the song down during the middle jam almost to a halt and fired back in...

Quadrophenia Set- What I recall from these songs were highs and lows. The lows were my tech problems and smashing my over drive pedal during 5:15. The highs were an incredible version of Love.

The rest of the show was interesting after the Quad set. Sister Disco fell apart at one point and Magic bus (which was Not on the list but played because we needed to give Bobby time to stop the cramping in his arms) was just a nightmare. I broke another string and of course it was the A string, The whole fucking song is 8 minutes of A. Well this version was 3 minutes of A and I don't even know how the song ended. We recovered with an incredible version of Naked Eye and closed the show with Generation where Bobby collapsed after song was over. Another Cow Palace but this time we were done.

I would like to thank the fans at The Station, your energy reflected upon us. Our road crew this trip up, Frank, Jim, Margarett, Deby who once again caught the whole night through her lens, and Renee who we will soon turn into a Who fan. I hope to see you again back in Rhode Island early 2002.
